Paediatrics

Care for children from birth to sixteen, in rooms built for children rather than adapted for them.

What we treat

  • Development and growth reviews
  • Childhood illness and recurring infection
  • Asthma, eczema and allergy
  • Feeding, sleep and behaviour concerns
  • Immunisation schedules
  • First dental visits and prevention

Our services

Development reviews

Height, weight, milestones and hearing, tracked against the same chart each visit so a change means something.

Acute childhood illness

Same-week appointments for fevers, ears, chests and rashes, with a clinician who will happily tell you it is viral and needs nothing.

Long-term conditions

Asthma and allergy plans written down and shared with the school, reviewed before each winter rather than after the first attack.

First dental visits

A look, a count and a sticker. The point of the first appointments is that the child is not frightened of the fourth one.

Why choose us for this

  • Thirty-minute appointments as standard
  • The same clinician across a course of care
  • Waiting area separated from adult clinics
  • Direct line for parents during treatment

Our approach

Treat the child in front of you and talk to the parent as an equal. Most childhood presentations resolve on their own, so the skill is knowing which do not, and saying clearly which one this is.

What you get

  • Continuity, so patterns get noticed
  • Plans written for school and nursery
  • Dental and medical care in one visit
  • Honest answers about what needs nothing

Frequent questions

  • From birth. Newborn feeding and weight concerns are among the most common reasons parents come in.

  • Yes, and it is usually easier for everyone. Ask when booking so the slot is long enough.

  • We follow the national schedule and can catch up a child who has fallen behind it.
